Fighting Bob Fest kicks off Friday (admission free)

Join progressives from around Wisconsin and elsewhere in the Midwest in carrying on Robert La Follette’s tradition of arranging “chautauquas” to bring people together to raise hell and organize.  Fighting Bob Fest has continued this tradition for 16 years and 2017’s weekend speakers include Tammy Baldwin, Mark Pocan, Randy Bryce, and Mahlon Mitchell, among many others.

The Cap Times Idea Fest offers two days of engaging discussions with leaders from the realms of politics, the economy, education, journalism and culture. Scheduled for Sep. 16-17 on the UW-Madison campus, additional confirmed speakers include Washington Post editor Martin Baron, writer David Maraniss, Wisconsin Never-Trumper Charlie Sykes, and former Gov.
