Assembly OKs stricter parole revocation and $350 million more for prisons

The Assembly approved tougher parole revocation standards, $350 million in new borrowing for building prisons and dozens of new assistant district attorneys Thursday.

Voting 59-35 with only one Republican joining the opposition, Dems decried the proposal as being the opposite of what Republicans in other states are doing to address crime. > Wisconsin State Journal
