A bipartisan state commission has voted to retain Michael Haas as the state’s top election official, defying a state Senate vote a day earlier to oust him. The move came despite strident protests from two Republican commissioners who warned it could bring “chaos” by creating a legitimacy crisis with state elections. > Wisconsin State Journal
