DeVos approves Evers’ state education plan that Walker rejected

U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos approved Wisconsin’s education plan this week. Though Gov. Walker refused to sign it last year, saying it lacked bold reforms, state schools superintendent Tony Evers — who’s running for governor — said the plan gives local districts flexibility to innovate and a greater say in turning around failing schools. > Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
