An aircraft company that planned to build a plane manufacturing facility in northern Wisconsin has laid off an unknown number of workers in Superior. Kestrel Aircraft Company received $4 million in state loans five years ago with the hopes of creating 600 jobs in Superior. The jobs didn’t materialize, and the company defaulted on its loans. > Wisconsin Public Radio
