Headed to Walker’s desk: Bill eliminating child work permits

The state Senate has approved a bill to eliminate the requirements that 16- and 17-year-olds get parental permission to work and pay for a $10 permit. Republicans argue the bill will make it easier for children to work, while Democrats maintain the bill removes parental protection, sets children up for exploitation and decreases revenue by $730,000.  >  FOX 6 Milwaukee
